It’s July and even though I am a couple of days late (grandson visit y’all), it still is worth celebrating the beginning of the month with a new cause, isn’t it?

In June we recognized that it was Alzheimer’s and Brain Health Month and our charity we highlighted was Mental Health America.. This organization does much to educate and provide assistance to those who need resources. With resources, mental health support and conferences, this organization is helping to move mental health to the forefront to help increase visibility to the challenges that face those who need mental health care as well as helping to reduce the stigma that so often accompanies those who need help with their mental health. We have made some strides in this area but so much work is still needed to be done.
Thank you for always stopping by and reading and taking the time to comment. I have the best readers. We will be making a donation of $75 to Mental Health America in memory of all who have passed due to these debilitating health issues.

This month I am pleased to share our new cause which is Helping Paws. I became aware of this organization through my “imaginary friend” Katybeth. Katybeth has a blog called Odd Loves Company and I have followed her for ages and ages. She is a devoted dog lover and runs Camp Run A Pup. She shared a post recently about Helping Paws and shared the following post about the Minnesota dog who was the first dog in Minnesota to lie in state with its beloved owners who were brutally killed.

.
This organization is truly one that is serving many in the country and after reading just a little bit about it I knew we should highlight it as one of our Comments for a Cause.
Helping Paws breeds, trains and places service dogs with a comprehensive approach designed to ensure the well-being and skills of the dogs and enrich the lives of the people we serve. Our programs include:
Service Dog: Physical Disability
Service Dog: Veteran or First Responder With PTSD
What a fabulous organization to support. I am thrilled to include them in our long list of Comments for a Cause recipients and urge you to check out all of the information that is on their website here.
Thank you to all who follow along and read my random rants here and there! You always make me smile with your comments and insights and I am privileged to call you all friends. Happy July and have a great month. And thanks, Katybeth, for the great resource.
