It’s A Hall – Teapot Tuesday

10 Comments/ 623/ 1

Last week on Teapot Tuesday I shared a new to me Hull teapot. Today, not be confused with a Hull teapot I am sharing a new to me Hall teapot. Similar in name but different companies and different styles.

I have quite a few Hall teapots in my collection and I absolutely love the look of this kind of teapot. They were very popular years ago and are a collector’s dream when one is found in top notch condition.

Hall China is based out of East Liverpool, Ohio ( another nod to my roots) and was started in 1903 by Robert Hall. Also falling under the HLC, Inc brand is the popular Homer Laughlin China line which features Fiesta Dinnerware line which graces our table every day. An update on the Hall China website shares this info: Steelite International and the Homer Laughlin China Company jointly announce Steelite’s acquisition of the Homer Laughlin China Company–Foodservice Division and the Hall China Company.

What is different about this teapot is that it has a little latch to hold the lid onto the top securely. I don’t have another like this one in my collection and love this latest addition.

As is the case with many china objects they are labeled and numbered on the bottom of the vessel.

Happy Tuesday to one and all. Enjoy a nice fall day and perhaps a cup of tea will make your day just a little bit better.

From the book, “Afternoon Tea at Pittock Mansion” Quote by R.Z. Berry
Cook, Cook, drink your tea,
But save some in the pot for me.
We’ll watch the tea leaves in our cup
When our drink is all sipped up.
Happiness or fortune great,
What will our future be?
