Easiest Ever Bagel Recipe
Homemade bagels made from minimal ingredients are the perfect baking project anyway.

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place parchment paper on a sheet and spray lightly with oil.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a medium size bowl and mix well. Add yogurt and mix with fork until combined and crumbly.
  3. Flour your work surface lightly and knead dough until it is tacky but not sticky.
  4. Divide into 4 equal parts and roll each into a 3/4 inch thick rope. Join the ends together to form the bagel.
  5. Top the bagel with egg wash and sprinkle both sides of the bagel with a seasoning of your choice. I used Everything Bagel seasoning and Sesame Seeds for my first batch but will get more creative each time I make them. Any topping will be perfect.
  6. Bake on top rack for 25 minutes and cool at least 15 minutes before slicing.
Recipe Notes

If you want a more flavored bagel use a non fat Greek yogurt with a flavor – blueberry, strawberry, etc.  Add a little bit of fruit to it and you are creating a fruity rather than savory bagel.
