  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prepare baking sheets by placing parchment paper on them.
  2. Combine the following ingredients: flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, and salt in a medium bowl and set aside.
  3. Beat sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl until well mixed. Add pumpkin, egg and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add the dry ingredients slowly until well combined. Add chocolate chips at the very end and mix until chips are evenly distributed in the dough.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 15- 18 minutes until cookies are slightly firm to the touch. Remove, let rest on sheets for 2 minutes and then transfer to wire cooling racks.
  5. Mix the following ingredients for a glaze and drizzle over cookies. 2 cups powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons milk, 1 tablespoon melted butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
