We just returned from a wonderful few days in Jersey City visiting our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson. As always, it was a treat—filled with great food and even better company. While Chris and Micah headed out to a show, we all cherished the quality time spent with Theo. On Sunday, after walking him to and from his Mandarin class, we took a stroll along the waterfront. It was a stunningly beautiful day, and it seemed like everyone else had the same idea! The walkway is dotted with fun statues that Theo loved posing by; and while I’ll keep those photos for the family album, I hope you enjoy these ‘Theo-free’ views of the art instead.

Hard to beat these views with Manhattan as a backdrop—especially on a day this beautiful! A few people have checked in on how our travel went, and honestly, it couldn’t have been smoother. No issues at AVL or EWR, and even with layovers in Atlanta, we never had to re-clear security or deal with long lines. We definitely didn’t take our easy flights for granted, knowing how hit-or-miss air travel is lately. Love the trip, love the family, but it sure feels good to be home.
