Every once in awhile it is fun to take a look at things I am loving at the moment. There is always something to be happy and excited about if I only take the time to look for it. Join me today as I share what I am loving lately.

First up— Little Free Pantries are popping up EVERYWHERE! I love the idea and while I do not intend to turn my Little Free Library into one, I applaud any and all who are taking the initiative to help with the food crisis that is a reality. My favorite independent bookstore, Highland Books, here in Brevard has started one that is out in front of their store. I love the idea.

I love all things related to the coming holidays. That means baking and cooking to me and all of the delicious things that come out of the kitchen. This week I had to provide a few snacks for a meeting so I chose a few snack mixes to make and keep on hand. I doubt these batches will make it to the holidays but we shall see.

I am loving my cats as always. If you aren’t a cat person feel free to skip this but honestly – there is just something about having a cat lay on top of you when you have had a rough day that can not be described. This was a double cat day.

I am always happy when I find a store that offers good prices and Aldi is one of those stores. Chris and I first started shopping at Aldi wayyyyyy back in the late 1980’s when we lived in Greenville, Ohio. We would drive to Winchester, Indiana specifically to shop at Aldi. At that time they were known for their inexpensive canned goods. These days they are known for their Aisle of Shame where they feature all those items you never knew you needed. I recently got a great buy on a Christmas comforter set for the guest bedroom and was anxious to put it on the bed. Of course Maksim had to test it out.

A post of things I am loving would not be complete without a book recommendation and this one is the one I have to recommend to anyone with children to buy for. It is a delightful witty story that will be sure to elicit giggles and grins.
