A Favorite Nativity

4 Comments/ 191/ 0

I wrote earlier this month that the holidays were going to be a little simpler around our house this year and so far, so good. I have managed to decorate a little bit and had to put out a couple of my nativities from my collection. While I usually clear the bookcases off of some of my book collection to display my nativity collection, I decided that this year I would not do that in an effort to save time and also to save some frustration from a rambunctious kitten. It was. a good call. Even though Misha has been a little more subdued due to her recent spay, we replaced her cone with a surgery shirt today and she is almost back to full ninny state. So my decision, thanks to Chris’ urging, to save my sanity and my breakables was a good one.

I did have to put out my Willow Tree nativity which I have added to over the years and thoroughly love. It says Christmas to me.

I realized that not only was this little angel knocked over, in the first picture I totally missed that a goat was on its side. I suspect that little ninny of a kitten was frolicking when I wasn’t aware. Regardless, it is still a beautiful sight on my hutch and I love it.

Do you have a nativity that you put out every year? Tell me all about it in the comments. I would love to hear about it.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
