A Glimpse of Alaskan Art

3 Comments/ 279/ 0

When Chris and I went to Alaska this year we experienced so much. It was only six weeks or so ago but so much has happened since then that it seems like much longer. Regardless, it was a really fabulous trip and looking at our pictures helps us to relive that time in our 49th state.

One of our days was spent exploring the Anchorage Museum. It was a rainy day, perfect for spending time inside a museum, and we barely made a dent in it. Outside we enjoyed some creative art that adorned the beautiful gardens. Alaska flowers are stunning.

Once inside, the Museum continued to amaze and wow us. So many fabulous displays about all things Alaska.

Even the elevators were art.

Each room we explored told a story. A different story about Alaska and its contributions to the world. It was pretty inspiring.

Alaskans are proud of their sense of humor and there was an entire area dedicated to just that. A few pictures will give you an idea of their unique humor.

Can you guess who is depicted in this piece of art?

More humorous creativity.

Hope you enjoyed my quick look at the Anchorage Museum today. It was fun for me to go back and look at some of these pictures and remember a really wonderful day with Chris.
