Sometimes I find a book that I just have to share with the world and Donna Ashworth’s recent book- Wild Hope – Healing Words to Find Light on Dark Days — is my current favorite to recommend.
I found Donna Ashworth on Facebook after a friend shared one of her particular moving poems about grief. She nailed it in that selection and I have been a fan ever since. Her simply phrased works cut to to the chase and almost always make me feel that she understands exactly where I am at as a reader. When I saw that she had a new one coming out I jumped at the chance to order it from her website here and basically read it in a day. Normally I savor books like this but this time I could not put it down.
As you can see from my picture, I have marked quite a few as favorites.
Finding a favorite is not an easy task. I would have to say there are several in the lead including ” You Don’t Meet Anyone by Accident”, “Threads from Heaven”, “To the Sea”, “You” and “How to Help”.
This would be a lovely book to gift someone at Christmas as well so check out her website here or ask at your local bookstore for a copy. If you don’t already, give her a like on Facebook and follow her there as her posts (sometimes from her latest books) are uplifting and glorious.
