Don’t Let AI Make Your Anniversary Card

5 Comments/ 569/ 0

Chris and I celebrated 42 years of marriage last week as I shared. When you get to this milestone, it is difficult to find gifts or cards that are fun and different. I usually make a card but this year I just used a blank note card and wrote something in it. We had laughed about how we usually end up saying the same things in our cards year after year. So Chris was out to change that.

He loves to send electronic cards and allowed AI to fashion my card this year. BIG mistake. The card featured Michael Bolton singing a lovely love song which made me smile because back in the day I loved Michael Bolton. But then the message was as follows:

To a wonderful soul who adores cats and brings warmth to every heart, happy anniversary! Your love for these furry friends reflects your kind and nurturing nature. May your special day be filled with purrs of joy and moments of love. Cheers to 64 years of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Here’s to many more years of snuggles with your feline companions and endless love with your special someone.

So apparently the things that Chris inputted about me included my love of cats and apparently how old I am instead of our years of marriage. And that my cats and love of cats is apparently more important than him. And obviously he did not READ what it created. I laughed out loud when I read it, looked at him and asked him if AI wrote it and he fessed up.

So if you ever do choose to go the AI route, make sure you read what is actually written to ensure it makes sense. By the way, Chris approved this post and fully fessed up to his escapes. It was good for a few laughs, don’t you think?

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
