Join Me for March Madness

9 Comments/ 466/ 0

It may be weird but I am a March Madness fan. If you are unaware of what that is all about it is about BASKETBALL! College basketball at its best if you ask me. Not that you did. It is really about the only time of year that I watch sports and it is only basketball. Of course I am a Tar Heel fan through and through. We try to watch their games throughout the season as often as we can and keep up with their progress in the ACC.

This year they played well and had a shot at the ACC title but sadly, lost to NC State on Saturday night in the final game. NC State definitely deserved to win and they battled the entire game. Having a son who graduated from Chapel Hill (UNC) and one from NC State University allows me to be happy when either one wins.

I even read that the mascots got blessed at the National Cathedral before the tournament began. Now that is pretty fun, right?

So now it is time for the NCAA Championships and March Madness. It is called that for a good reason. All of the teams bring their best and you just never know what is going to happen. It is always fun to watch even if your favorite team is not in the tournament.

Are you a fan? Now that the brackets have been announced I can start planning my week out according to the games. 🙂

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
