I have been the recipient of a lot of kindness lately and you know what? It feels darn good. My neighbor and friend Elaine brought me some lovely things from her recent trip and also gifted me some delicious green beans from her garden. My husband is taking care of my car repairs for me, not to mention how he took care of me several weeks ago when I was unable to do much for myself. He even washed my hair. Now that is a gesture of love, isn’t it?
Acts of kindness definitely make a difference to me and I strive to do acts of kindness daily if I can. One thing that is an easy way for me to show I care is to send a card to someone. I get these nudges often and know that it is time to reach out to someone and it is always the perfect timing. Always. That’s not me, folks. That’s God using me. I just have to allow it.
Lately I have realized just how much our world is in need of a little bit of kindness and it is my goal to make that happen in a variety of ways. Sometimes those little acts like opening a door or speaking to someone in a kind manner is all that is needed. Leaving the quarter in the cart at Aldi, letting someone go before you in a check out line or just smiling at someone is bound to make a difference. We don’t have to be all big and showy — just small acts of kindness are what matter most.
I found the following quotes and graphics in a Southern Living article and thought these were the perfect graphics to share to start the week off. Enjoy.
