Chris and I took advantage of the beautiful day on Wednesday and after a early morning dump date (yippee to them taking recycling again after a long haul after the hurricane of not being able to take it) we took a quick walk from our house to our little park that is on the bigger part of our lake. It is not a long walk but one that we like to take.

One of the things that I love about where we live is all of the natural beauty. We live in such a beautiful place. As we walked through the parking lot of the villas next to us my eye was drawn to this perfect leaf.

I mean just look at that that. It is a perfect leaf. The contrast of the red against the darkness of gravel was just so beautiful to me and it was a reminder of how each of us can choose to stand out in our own way. We are all unique individuals and isn’t that a beautiful thing?

As we walked around the playground, checking out the new equipment that we are anxious to show Theo in December, one of our many resident white squirrels came to check us out.

It’s been a tough couple of weeks for me and I have to admit that just being outside, taking a little walk and taking in the simple beauty around me really cleared my head and helped me think. more positively. Thanks to my sweet hubby who said “Let’s take a walk. We will feel better after a nice walk.” I need to always listen to him.
