Teapot Tuesday is all about my wonderful teapot finds and today is no different. I found artist Laura Peery at the Southern Highlands Craft Show in Asheville about 5 years ago and fell in love with her work. If you missed the post I shared featuring some of her creative porcelain pieces click here to view it.

I had not intended to buy anything at the show and especially not a teapot but Chris told me to pick one out and so how could I refuse his request?
I chose this lovely piece which was called “Sweet Tea” because it was bright and sunny and even included a cute little red flower on the lid.

Laura incorporates sewing into all of her designs and forms the vessels by using tucks and darts and folding the material to look just like fabric. I loved the simplicity of this one.

There are so many details on this teapot from little stitching lines to buttons.

I am so happy to have a Laura Peery original in my collection now.
What do you think? Do you love this one as much as I do?
