You might disagree with me and you are definitely allowed to have a differing opinion but I think this is the absolute best time of the year. The markets and farm stands are full of fabulously beautiful produce and there is nothing better than sitting on the back deck eating a delightful and colorful dinner of fresh, fresh, fresh vegetables and fruits.

That bag of corn is from the first day at our local favorite farm stand – McCall Farm and Produce. I have written before of the magnificent corn that they have every year. I thought Iowa corn was good but this stuff has it beat. (Sorry Iowa farmers). We all wait patiently for that Facebook announcement that the corn is ready and the day arrived on Wednesday and I was afraid I would get there too late to get any as I had appointments. But Hallelujah! I got some and we are feasting on it.

Dinner on the deck consisted of fresh corn, cauliflower, salad complete with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, mozzarella along with fresh basil and chives from my herb garden. Topped off with a drizzle of olive oil and it was perfection. I mean just look at that goodness.
