The Troll Tour Continues

4 Comments/ 290/ 0

On Monday I shared a bit about the Thomas Dambo’s Trolls: A Field Study exhibition at the North Carolina Arboretum. As promised I will share the remaining trolls featured in this wonderful creative installation. I have heard from several of my readers that they have seen some of Dambo’s trolls in other areas so it is pretty neat to know that some of my readers are already familiar with the trolls.

First up is Boge whose caption is “Come here little human. I’m collecting interesting thoughts about nature.”

,

Birch expounds “Nature is bigger and smaller than I thought.”

.

.

Lilnut was a favorite for most visitors that I observed both times we visited. No wonder! “Can I catch you in my net? I won’t eat you. I only catch and release (Like you should too if you find an interesting insect.”)

.

.

I got caught.

.

.

Anya has buckets and says “I am finding out so much crazy stuff about human folks.”

.

.

Valle is a sleeping giant of sorts. “Snoooooore. I was having a relaxing dream about dung beetles. Close your eyes and try our nature with your other senses.”

.

.

And finally, my favorite of the collection. Larke. “Just pretend I am not here and I’ll watch while you turn trash into treasure! Shh. I stay still so I don’t scare off anyone feeding the earth with compost magic.”

.

.

.

Thanks for joining me for another post sharing this wonderful exhibit. You can see the exhibit at the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville through February 17th, 2026.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
