Waterfall Wednesday – Table Rock State Park

8 Comments/ 678/ 0

It was time for a little waterfall chasing last week when the weather finally cleared up for a few days and Chris and I took full advantage of it and made a trip to Table Rock State Park in South Carolina. Located at 158 Ellison Lane in Pickens, South Carolina Table Rock State Park boasts 3083 acres of wonderful hiking, trails, swimming and more.

The most wonderful part of our trip was hiking the Carrick Creek Trail. Hiking this trail takes the hiker right along the creek and so there were lots of waterfalls to enjoy along the way up and down the trail. Perfect for waterfall lovers like us, don’t you think?

Table Rock State Park is one of the sixteen South Carolina State Parks built by the CCC ( Civilian Conservation Corps). It is an amazing place filled with beauty even in the winter months.

There are plenty of campsites, cabins and a nice lodge available to those who want to spend some time lingering for more than an afternoon or morning.

Can you see why we loved this hike so much? It was so gorgeous and on a very uncrowded day it was the perfect way to spend some time outside enjoying God’s creation. This quickly has become my favorite hike that we have done since we moved back to North Carolina 4 1/2 years ago. I am already antsy to go back when things start getting a little bit greener.

Thanks for joining me today on my little hike through the woods. Please feel free to leave me a comment and tell me what you are looking forward to doing today. Remember that each comment means a 50 cent donation to our Comments for a Cause – The Diaper Bank of North Carolina.

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
