What’s On My Camera Roll?

34 Comments/ 496/ 1

From time to time I like to share what is on my camera roll on my phone.  The recent pictures will give you a glimpse into my life as of late especially if you do not follow me on other social media channels.

Please enjoy.  Some might need some explanations.  “Smile”

We visited Hunting Island State Park east of Beaufort, South Carolina for the second time last week.  This time it was not as foggy as during our first visit and I was able to get a nice lighthouse shot.

The place that we stayed at at Marco Island, Florida was definitely geared towards retirement folks.  We felt pretty young the entire time we were there which was a nice feeling.  The pool attracted a different crowd including this guy with a walker who I suspect was recovering from some type of surgery.  Good for him for staying active.

I snapped a picture of this somewhat alarming and disturbing ad in a catalog to send to my sister with the question “Do you think this really works well?”   What do YOU think?

Snow, snow, snow.  I left Iowa but the snow has followed me to North Carolina.  We didn’t get nearly as much as the last snowfall but still four inches was enough to keep things dicey for a few days.  And no — I did not shovel the entire driveway.  Today I plan to drive to airport to get Chris so hopefully it will have melted off more.

We stayed one night at Jekyll Island in Georgia and this is what the beach was like with temperatures hovering around 28 degrees.  We did meet a lovely couple who were bundled up in parkas and scarves like good Southerners.

Holly decided that she needed to help with the cabinet cleaning and hopped in while I was organizing.  I think she might have been sniffing the cat food in the corner, what do you think?

I thought this cute sign in Hunting Island State Park was worth taking a shot of.   Alligators are stay at home moms apparently.

Finally, a rainbow. Because who ever gets tired of rainbows?

Have a great weekend, my friends, and leave me a comment telling me which picture you liked the most today. Do you have anything fun on YOUR camera roll?   All comments go to support our January Comments for a Cause.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
