What’s Happening at YOUR House?

8 Comments/ 603/ 0

It is that busy time of year, isn’t it? I said I was going to cut back this year and I have…a little bit. But this week was filled with appointments, volunteering and just general holiday preparation and I am ready for a little down time this weekend. After all, I have to prepare for Chris’s birthday on Monday, right?

So what was I doing? Let these pictures speak for me.

Mr. Hawk was scoping out our yard for tasty treats.

.

,

I put this on my Christmas wish list. Not really but it made me giggle.

.

Another thing that makes me giggle are when hackers or bots try to worm their way into social media. Not this time, bot!

.

Of course I had help when I was attempting to get presents wrapped and ready to ship out.

.

It was Pajama Day at Sharing House this past week when I volunteered for Christmas Blessings. It was a lot of fun and the program has served well over 725 children so far with appointments booked all through next week.

.

Finally, Chris must have been tired of my incessant Christmas song singing while I was making cookies in the kitchen. I think the Chipmunk song put him over the edge but notice he kept an ear uncovered to hear me if I needed him. So considerate.

.

So tell me, what went on in your life this week? I want to hear all about it in the comments and Comment for a Cause for Sharing House.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

I loved this book! It had my interest from the very first page and was my "airplane" book on a recent trip. Author Mary Kubica created believable and interesting characters that the reader learned to identify with and care about. Mi...

All the Light We Cannot See

This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
