5 Things I Love Right Now

11 Comments/ 651/ 1

It’s always fun to share things on my blog that I love. Today I decided to share a few things that I am loving right now. They are very random and I am not an affiliate for any of the products. I just want to share things that I love right now. So get ready – here we go.

First up is something for the cats, of course. Primarily Maksim because he kicked Holly out of it when she dared to venture into it. The Katris Nest is a simple cardboard scratcher/bed . Maksim had an inexpensive one that I had found online but he was lopping over the sides and was totally too big for it. He loved it but I thought if I could get him a bigger one it would be better. The Katris is pricey but worth it. You can choose an assemble yourself model for less but after reading the comments I decided it was worth the money to buy the preassembled one. Maksim LOVES it.

I love a good lotion and have shared some on the blog before. I got this one, Deep Sleep Body Cocoon by ThisWorks in some random subscription box and I absolutely love it. I put it on the past couple nights before I went to bed and it really is a lovely fragrance to fall asleep to.

Schwan’s home delivery service has been a great thing during the pandemic. We have enjoyed having our biweekly delivery for months now and have found a few favorite items. One that I absolutely am hooked on is the Blueberry Scone offering. Pop a couple in the oven and 30 minutes later I have a nice yummy scone to go with my tea.

Blueberry scone before baking and after baking. Yummy.

One of our local gift shops down the road from us, Lezard Brevard, has a really great line of Brevard products. I found this great little sign and it is now in our entryway. I absolutely love it.

Several years ago Micah and Wendy got this Staub Dutch Oven for my birthday. I have rediscovered it again, after not using it for awhile, and remembered how much I love it. It is the perfect size for the two of us and goes from stovetop to oven if need be. I have been using it for a lot of different things lately and am so happy with it. The towel under it was a gift from my friend Jane and is another one of my favorite things.

What comes to your mind that is your favorite thing right now? I would love to hear all about it in the comments. Remember that each comment made during this month means a 50 cent donation to our Comments for a Cause – United Way Derecho Storm Relief for Iowa.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
