52 Lists for Happiness – Book Review

20 Comments/ 533/ 2

Happiness.

Aren’t we all just trying to find a little bit of happiness in the world?  I know I am.

I also want to be able to share happiness with others and am reminded constantly that it really does not take much to accomplish that.  Sometimes just holding a door open, complimenting someone on their hair or clothing or even just a smile is the thing that turns a day around for that other person.

I found this wonderful book called 52 Lists for Happiness: Weekly Journaling Inspiration for Positivity, Balance, and Joy by Moorea Seal.  I am pretty sure I bought it at my favorite little Brevard store, Theophilus, but you can buy it in many places including Amazon.

I love lists.  If it is a list it just makes more sense to me.  It is just how my mind works and I often have a sticky note with a list stuck on the fridge or on my placemat.  I keep lists on my phone on my Notes app.  I have a notebook I carry with me that has notes and important things I need to remember written in it.  It also has lists.

To do lists.

Packing lists.

Lists of letters to write.

The list goes on .  Pardon my pun.

So when I saw this book, a journal of lists, I knew it was written for me.

Not only does the author offer 52 different list ideas she also offers little gems of wisdom and things to think about throughout the book.

If you are a list maker who is looking for ways to acknowledge happiness I think this book might be for you.  It also makes the perfect gift and with Christmas just around the corner it would be an amazing gift for that person in your life who could use a way to focus on happiness.

So far my lists in the book are few but as I work my way through it I know that it is going to be a great way for me to focus on positivity and happiness in my life.

After all, don’t we all just need a bit more of that?

Let me know in the comments if you are a list maker. Why or why not?  All comments this month mean a 50 cent donation to UMCOR for Hurricane Florence Recovery.  You can read more about that here.
