My love of Advent calendars is well known in this household. From tea calendars (featured next week) to chocolate calendars, coffee calendars to cheese calendars I have loved them all. Two years ago I had purchased the perfect book themed calendar and while mine was pretty good, the ones I got for my friends were ridiculous. Of course I wrote about it here and you can read that if you want a good laugh.
This year I saw that my favorite independent book store, Highland Books, was featuring one for sale and I debated about it and then, in typical fashion, ordered one online to pick up. Since there were limited numbers I wanted to be sure to get one. Well, let me just tell you – while it does not have a surprise gift in each little pocket counting down the days till Christmas, it does have a sweet little miniature book with a theme and a question.

Each day has a little pocket with a mini book tucked inside. You can record your answer to the question on the little booklet that also has space for the books you have read this year.

The cute thing about this is the little bookcase that it comes in to display all of the mini books.
