Embrace Your Beach Life ™

1 Comment/ 1778/ 0

I found a new favorite store!!! And a new favorite phrase!!! Thanks to the ladies at Art Sea in Port Isabel, Texas (Mother Carolyn Hauschildt and her two daughers Wendy Hauschildt and Jodi Eberhardt) I have a new state of mind and several new tshirts to boot!!  We stopped into their delightful store on Tuesday and found lots of great things!!!  Chris bought a couple of tshirts and the above pictured hat and when we got back to the hotel I was sad that I had no “beachy ” thing from my foray into their store.  Chris, being the wonderful husband that he is said “Well, we are going right by there tomorrow on our way out so we can stop and you can get whatever you want”.  What a sweetheart!!!  I do love him!  He indulges me and I know that he does!

So what is so great about this shop?  Just tons of great things to look at (and buy!) Jewelry, beach wear with their trademark phrase, beach decor, outdoor furniture which rocks, stationary and art are just a few of the items.  You can view some here online at their website http://www.artseagoods.com

Perhaps what sums up their philosophy best is the prose that is on cards, prints and various other things around the store.  Let me be clear—these are their awesome words—not mine.   Enjoy and check out their shop if you are in the area or shop online!  It’s all good!

Embrace Your Beach Life.

Let go of urban stress, wear flip flops to every occasion, breathe deep of the salt air, ride your bike to the corner store, feel the sand between your toes, roll up your cuffs and catch an incoming wave, only wear shirts without buttons, abandon your socks, pause for sunsets, say hello to everyone, function on island time, put things of until tomorrow, smell like coconut oil, drink lime flavored beverages and always remember to embrace your beach life wherever you are.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
