Today we celebrate Father’s Day in the US and even though my own Daddy is no longer with me it makes me so very thankful for him. He was a strong man who was a great example to all those who came in contact with him. My father in law has also become such an important person in my life. He continually amazes me with his fortitude and inner strength and it is amazing to me that I have been blessed with two fabulous “fathers’ when some folks don’t even have one father that they can look up to. I am blessed!!!! And my own husband, Chris, has proven to be a great father also. Must have been the example set for him by his own dad. Strong and supportive, encouraging and loving, always there for our boys ! I am grateful!!!
Yesterday we made our annual trip to the Marblehead Lighthouse and it was early enough that it was not crowded at all. It was not open to go up into though I have done that before —but we both got some great shots of one of our favorite places. Today we celebrate Father’s Day in Lima with Chris’s dad and brother and sister and her family and it should be a great day! Weather looks like it is going to be perfect and we are going to just enjoy it!!! Hope you all have some special time with your families!
