Flagstaff—Here We Come!

Leave a Comment/ 1504/ 0

Getting ready to roll on out of Sebring in a few hours to spend the night in Toledo!!!   Gotta hit the road early tomorrow to get to the Detroit airport where my mom and I will fly out to Phoenix to meet with the rest of the family before heading to Flagstaff for the big event!!!!  My niece, Rachael is getting married!  I am over the moon excited!!!  Seriously—-it is high time for a wedding in our family and Rachael is the 2nd of the cousins to tie the knot and we are so happy to welcome Nate Youmans into our crazy family!!!  Nate and Rachael will be living in Sparks, Nevada, but Flagstaff is where they met and has special meaning to them so that is where they wanted to get married.  My brother and sister in law have rented a great house there for us to all stay at and it is going to be so much fun!   Everyone will be there with the exception of one brother in law—Christopher—and he will be missed terribly!!!

The logistics for this trip have been pretty crazy but hopefully everyone will get where they need to get for the big event on Saturday night!   The Chiles side will all meet up at the Phoenix airport and drive together on Friday while most of the rest of the family will already have the party starting on Thursday night!  Better save some of that fun for us when we get there!

Looking forward to a great celebration of 2 wonderful young people and a lifetime of happiness.  You know pictures will be posted!!!

And also looking forward to a bit of sightseeing in Flagstaff—-looks like a great place to visit!!!  http://www.flagstaff.az.gov/

Old Girls in Low Cotton
by Helen Childress
This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

The Good Girl

I loved this book! It had my interest from the very first page and was my "airplane" book on a recent trip. Author Mary Kubica created believable and interesting characters that the reader learned to identify with and care about. Mi...

All the Light We Cannot See

This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines
by John Green
Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
