Floods, bushfires and frogs…

Leave a Comment/ 952/ 0

I am thinking that we are bound for something else to happen because we have been hit by all these natural (or unnatural–not sure what they are!) disasters. Today when Chris went to leave for work he yelled at me to come out—his car was covered with tiny little adorable green frogs. Yes, when they are in their natural environment they are adorable. When they are in the toilets–not so much! Last night when we came back from dinner they were all over the road hopping around like mad in the rain and this morning a ton were on the car he borrows from the mill when we are down in the Burdekin. I couldn’t get a great picture because I had the camera on auto focus and didn’t have time to mess around with the settings since he needed to leave for work and it focused on the backgrounds and not the frogs….but they are awfully cute.

Lots of rain last night again but Chris must have made it through it to the mills this morning as I have not seen him return! I am going to make a run into town, maybe vacuum out the car, hit the post, find some storage containers to put some stuff in and maybe stop by the grocery to pick up some carrots at the very least for my four legged friends! My life is full!

But seriously, my life is full! I am brimming with happiness today and with gratefulness—so many things happen to each of us on a daily basis that are wonderful. Seeing beautiful little green frogs in the rain and seeing how God has a plan for even them makes me happy! As long as they stay outside…….

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
