For the Love of Tea Accessories

12 Comments/ 509/ 0

Every tea lover needs to have a few fun things to accompany tea time, don’t you think?  Today I am sharing 3 fun items that I have that make teatime even better.

lemon1

First up is a little gizmo that my sister got for me.  It is a cute  little bird that is designed to squeeze just the right portion of lemon into my teacup.

lemon

Slice up a little lemon and put it in the little compartment and squeeze over the cup for the perfect addition.

ladybug

How about a cute little ladybug to help capture drips from the teapot?  We all wish that all teapots would pour driplessly but are realistic to know that these teapots can be few and far between. This little ladybug helps capture those drips before they reach the linens.

The little part above the plastic bug is actually a fabric meshy type of drip catcher so any drips are absorbed before hitting the table.

cup

My final fun item today is one that was given to me by Samantha and Cory when I helped with their wedding.  I love this little orange cup cover, don’ t you?

It helps keep the tea hot between sips, serves as a great way to carry the mug without spilling and offers a cute little spoon holder on top.

There are so many fun things to find that make teatime even better and these three rank right up there in my book.  The added bonus is when someone special gifts me an item like one of these and I have a great memory to associate with the item each time I use it.

If you are a tea drinker, do you have any fun accessories that make tea even better? I would love to hear about them so please Comment for a Cause for El Centro.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
