Snoopy Happy Dance.

That’s me! That’s me!!! That is all I can say!!!  And about all I can do! Thanks to the outpouring of prayers from literally people around the world, my friend Tom that I posted about earlier this week is on the road to recovery!!!   He is on the mend and it is due to the power of prayer.  No doubt about it in my mind whatsoever!!!

Yesterday I got the news that he was being moved OUT of ICU and into a room and would soon be allowed to eat “big boy” food!!!  Yippee!  I cannot begin to tell you how big the smile was on my face when I heard that news!  It was amazing!

I am sure he has a long road to full recovery and I do not know all that has gone on with his poor body but believe me—I don’t care!  What I do care about is that my buddy Tom is back!!!   And it makes me wonder why I don’t always have the deepest faith .  Why was my heart so heavy?  Why did I not believe in the miracle that occurred?  This experience rocked me to my core and it is today that I can say that as a result of it I have grown!  I have realized first hand the power of prayer, once again, and know that God is not some genie in the sky but a truly loving God who cares for each one of us beyond our comprehension.   He has been there with Tom since day one and with his family and all who care about him and his hand moved mightily.

So the lesson learned …..pray and expect that miracle.   Truly believe.  Get down on your knees and pour out your heart.  God hears.  Amen.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

I loved this book! It had my interest from the very first page and was my "airplane" book on a recent trip. Author Mary Kubica created believable and interesting characters that the reader learned to identify with and care about. Mi...

All the Light We Cannot See

This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
