Our stay in Lakeside is drawing to a close….boo hoo. It has been a fun week but gone too fast for sure. I realize that I have packed a lot into the past couple of weeks and it has been fabulous! Driving to Ohio to pick up my mom, flying to Arizona for Rachael and Nate’s wedding, driving to Lakeside for a week of fun and tomorrow we head to Lima to spend some time with the Chiles side of the family. A couple of days of Auntie Beth and Meredith time and I will be all set!!! Can’t wait!
Today we are concerned about my sister Paula’s “oldest” friend’s husband—-I know that is confusing!!! Paula is still very close to one of her grade school friends whose husband is also up here for the week as a delegate. Today, for the second time, he had to be transported to the hospital in Port Clinton. They have their grandsons with them so they are with us for the day today till things get figured out. If you would—please throw up a couple extra prayers for Donald and Becky—-not the ideal way to spend the week with two trips to the hospital. Becky is one of my most faithful blog readers and we are all concerned so a few extra prayers on Donald’s behalf would be awesome! Thanks!
I planned to get alot accomplished this week—I did do a little reading (reviews later!!!!) but I did not touch the message I am to deliver at church on August 1st….maybe next week. I need to pick out hymns and all that stuff too so I guess I had better get on the stick!!!! It will happen…….just not today.
The week has, as always, made me reflect on how blessed I am to have a family that I actually want to spend time with, blessed that I have a husband that loves Lakeside as much as I do, blessed that I am able to come and enjoy time here with no worries except wondering if my solar frog on my deck in Iowa made it through the tornado type weather that occurred last night. My life is pretty simple and good at this point and I am going to enjoy that! Cheers to all today! And also hope that Rachael and Nathan have a fabulous reception in Ashland, Ohio today!!! Sure it will be a blast!
