Maskim Maksim

11 Comments/ 578/ 1

If you saw my post yesterday you saw my tea pouring experiment where I showed off my new Covid-19 skills. You also might think that I am losing it a little bit. I really am fine.

Honestly.

I am.

Today my post might demonstrate yet another facet of my talented and wonderful self. Today I bring you my almost 1 year old Siberian wonder cat – Maksim.

I had a short window of time to get this done. Those teeth!

There has been much in the news about wearing masks. Seems that there are two distinct camps that are the most vocal. Those that support wearing masks and those that don’t. Frankly I have seen some pretty hateful things said by both sides of the debate but I won’t do that here.

Almost there...

I am Team Mask. It makes sense to me to keep my particles to myself if I can and while I know that nothing is 100% effective at this point I will do my part. Plus our governor has asked us to wear them when we are outside of our home and inside buildings as well as wearing them outside when we can not socially distance by 6 feet. I have no problem doing this and thought I would throw my hat in the ring for promoting proper mask wearing.

I just couldn’t get it to go on his ears.
Maskim Maksim’s PSA for the day – Wear your mask correctly.

Who would have thought that a little face covering could cause so much controversy? Not me. There are a lot of articles circulating about the effectiveness of masks, the best types to wear, when to wear them and how to wear them. Of course it is in individual choice but my opinion is if I can do anything to help stop the spread I will do it. After all – I have a mother in a nursing home in Ohio that I want to be able to see as soon as I can and if wearing a mask helps me get to her faster than I will do it.

Thanks for always laughing along with me here on It’s Just Life. I don’t always want to take life too seriously and I am grateful to my readers for joining me and reading all of my silliness. Please leave me a comment and tell me what you think of my mask model. Each comment this month means a 50 cent donation to our Comments for a Cause – Transylvania Christian Ministry Sharing House.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
