Our recent trip to Southport, North Carolina was pretty wonderful. We had visited this town years ago and while I remember liking the town and the area then I really liked it even more this time. I recently shared a post of some of the food that we enjoyed while we were there but of course there is far more to the town than restaurants.
One morning we walked around, stimulated the economy just a little bit, and managed to take a few photos of some of the fun sights . Today I just wanted to share a few of the photos from that little walk about.
Maps are available in several places and it is a great way to get a bit of orientation as to where you are and where you want to go.
Cute signage on the cheese shop.
Of course I am always drawn to taking pictures of the glorious trees that are everywhere. How can I resist?
This beautiful building houses the art museum where artists have items on display for sale. I “might” have bought a perfect souvenir mug here.
Murals and paintings on buildings are everywhere in this town as well. How fun.
Favorites to photograph are old buildings and amazing houses.
Ahhhhhhhh.
Fun sign.
And finally – a sign that reflects the sentiment of many I would assume who want to keep the charm of Southport as it is.
