Plum Deluxe Tea Review on Teapot Tuesday

28 Comments/ 526/ 0

Disclosure: I received free tea from Plum Deluxe to facilitate my review.  As always all opinions are my own.

Tea, wonderful tea. You know how much I love all things tea and today I want to share with my readers a great new tea company that reached out to me to share the tea love.IMG_2601

Andy from Plum Deluxe tea found my blog and noticed my love of all things tea.  Imagine that.  His company Plum Deluxe is a company that has my heart.  Not only do they have wonderful teas they also have a great mission and they give back.  Yes.  You know that pulls at my heart strings.

Owner Andy Hayes wrote and shared a bit about Plum Deluxe with me:

Hand-blended in small batches at our studio in Portland, Oregon, Plum Deluxe’s line of signature loose leaf teas will help you to slow down for a mindful moment and enjoy the luxurious feeling of a premium tea, perfect for a warm exchange with friends and family or a few quiet minutes of solitude, reflecting on the good life. All of our tea blends are organic, non-geo, and free of chemicals and sulfites – we support local and USA farmers wherever possible and have an active philanthropy program. I am the founder of Plum Deluxe; the company is a tribute to my mother, who lost a brave 6-year battle with breast cancer but never forgot to enjoy “the little things” in life.

Andy graciously sent me a wonderful assortment of teas and he picked the perfect ones.  We talked about my Comments for a Cause and when I told him that this month the recipient would be The Little Free Library he knew exactly what tea blend to send me. IMG_4338

Look at this lovely blend.  Can’t you just smell it? I credit the Love and Gratitude that is mixed in with the black tea, rosebuds, lavender, and chamomile.

The Reading Nook Blend was the perfect mix of black tea with floral notes.  The beautiful lavender and rosebuds graced the pot and the aroma was wafting through the room.  Oh my goodness. This was THE perfect blend for me and I absolutely loved it. I am so happy that Andy picked this one especially for me.

The second tea that was sent was a lovely green called Easy to Be Green Tea.  Now I am not always a green tea aficionado but this one was perfect.  Sometimes I have the sense that green tea is too “grassy” but this one was a perfectly light blend of loveliness.

I enjoyed a cup outside on the front porch and wished I had brewed an entire pot.  The good thing is that I have more that I can brew anytime I want to.

Just as impressive as the tea is the Playbook that comes with the tea.  What a great way to enjoy the tea selections even more. Along with listings of the various teas that the company has to offer are also journaling pages and pages just for inspiration and reflection.

Andy shared with me some of the great things about Plum Deluxe including their Tea of the Month Club which I am officially going to sign up for as soon as this post goes live.  How can I not?  This is much more than a tea of the month club.  It is a group of like minded folks who love tea and are supportive of one another as well.

Teas are available exclusively on our website, plumdeluxe.com/teashop. Our most popular offering is the tea of the month club – for only $10/month subscribers receive 1 oz of a custom seasonally-perfect artisan loose leaf tea made just for the club. Subscribers also enjoy access to a robust and supportive private tea lover’s community, tea-inspired recipes, discounts on extra teas and supplies, and other surprises. We host member meetups throughout the year, but several of our members host self-organized group events year-round. It’s a wonderful way to be supported and meet others in your local community, especially like-minded groups (book clubs, health and self improvement circle, knit night, etc.).

To sweeten the cup, so to speak, Andy has committed to donating $1 for every purchase of the Reading Nook Blend to The Little Free Library.   He will also donate $2 for each tea subscription or tea gift that is purchased as a result of reading this blog post.   I think he might also be offering free shipping to my readers as well.  When you place an order and see the box “where did you hear about us?” just simply enter “Beth Ann’s Teapot Tuesday” and he will make sure to set aside the money for a donation.  He promised to do this for 30 days from this post so every little bit will help.

So how wonderful is that?  It is definitely a win win and I am thrilled to become a member of the Plum Deluxe family.  Please make sure to follow them on their social media channels to keep up to date.

It is so exciting when a company has similar values and visions, isn’t it?  I love what this company stands for and am grateful to Andy for allowing me the opportunity to review some delightful teas.
