Teapot Tuesday Brings on the Black and White

11 Comments/ 101/ 0

Teapots come in all shapes and sizes and colors.  One of my favorite combinations has to be a black and white teapot.

There is just something about the clean contrast of black and white that strikes my fancy.

This little gem from Hobby Lobby caught my eye and the 50% off price tag made it all the sweeter.

It is a hefty and sturdy teapot that will serve a stout cup of tea and will most likely be called into service later this week as Florence ravishes the Carolinas.  We will most likely get a lot of wind and rain and hopefully the downed trees and limbs will be kept to a minimum.  We are keeping an eye on the storm and are praying for those in its direct path to keep safe.

Some days a black and white teapot is just what fits the bill and this one makes me happy when I look at it.

Peter swept aside Yogi Tea and Harmony Herbal Blend, though he hesitated for a second over chamomile.  But no.  Stay focused, he admonished himself.  He knew it was there, that opiate of the Anglos.  And his hand clutched the box just as the kettle whistled.  Violent death demanded Earl Grey.

Thanks! We are probably going to get a bunch of rain and wind. Kind of glad we don’t have that beach house quite yet. 🙂

Black and white is always perfect! Love the quote from Louise Penny, “Violent death demanded Earl Grey.” This pot would be perfect for Earl Grey on a stormy day. Stay safe.

Thanks, Darlene. I am reading that book right now and it is the first one in a series. I had not heard of the books before and am loving it and then the tea quote made it even better!

She is an excellent writer. I met her once and heard her speak. She is a lovely person too. (nursed her husband through Alzheimers, sadly he passed away recently) You will love the series as you sip your Earl Grey tea.

It is a sturdy one. Hopefully, everyone in the path of the storm will be sturdy too. We just got off of three full days of rain from tropical storm Gordon and there’s been a lot of flooding here in western PA. Thankfully, our home was not affected but others are left with a big mess. Stay safe down there.

Another great teapot. I agree about the colors black and white together. So pretty. Stay safe in the storm.

Pretty teapot and a bargain for 50% off! Praying that Florence decides to hang a right….a hard right.

Love that one. Black and white is always in style.
Thinking of you and hoping that everyone will be safe as Florence approaches.
It was a year ago yesterday that we were in Raleigh escaping Irma… so it’s definitely been on my mind.

I hope you’ll be able to use it to brew friends from the coast some tea, with the power on and all.

Gotta love the Appalachian Mountains…whatever happens anywhere else, we get rain.
