Random Friday – A Little Bit of Everything

42 Comments/ 388/ 0

Friday is a great day to share randomness, don’t you think?  I have more random in my life than order at this point it seems.

But bear with me and hopefully my randomness will entertain and amuse you.

First up is a medley of googly eyes.  Y’all know how much I love the google eye placement on random things.  I have left a few in various places lately and few that they were too good to not share.  All googly eyes are easy to remove if they need to be.   No one or object has been hurt in the leaving of googly eyes.

Cats are weird.  If there has ever been any doubt in your mind let me set it aside.  While our cats have a deluxe circulating water fountain to drink from they wait in the bathtub for me to turn the water on. Apparently it is grade A water.  When we lived in Mason City they always ran to the bathroom when they heard the shower turn on.  Weird.

The city of Beaufort is a favorite place and we spent a little time there last week.  I spotted these two manhole covers and thought it was brilliant.

Chris wanted a few deviled eggs for Thanksgiving and I obliged but didn’t have one of those special deviled egg trays at the place we were renting.  I got creative and inserted an upside down glass on the plate and my deviled eggs magically stayed beautiful with no plastic wrap sticking to them. I thought it was a pretty smart idea.

I finished 7 books while we were at the beach but I also wasted way too much time watching episodes of this show. Ridiculous.

Finally I loved these two guys from Miami who found a couple of great books at the book store and had pulled up a bench in the sunshine to read while their significant others shopped.  One was all about deer and the other I couldn’t’ figure out what the heck it was but they were lovely men and it made my day to see them thoroughly enjoying their book store finds.

So tell me – what random thing can you share with me today?  I would love to hear all about it so leave me a comment and Comment for a Cause.

Come back tomorrow for the results of November Comments for a Cause and the reveal of December Comments for a Cause.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

All the Light We Cannot See

This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
