Last week I shared a few tea infusers from my collection on the blog. You can check that post out here. Tea infusers and strainers are necessary for brewing tea and I have a few in my collection that are fun. Today’s offerings are functional but a few are whimsical at the same time. Who says teatime has to be serious?
First up is a little ball with a tea cup attached to it. The teacup has a little chip in it now as I have used it a lot but it adds to the charm.
How about a kitty cat perching on the side of the pot or cup? The tea ball part is shaped like a fish which seems pretty appropriate.
This little infuser is actually shaped like a teabag. Pop the bottom off of the rubbery teabag, put in a teaspoon of tea, pop the bottom back on and brew up a cup of yumminess.
This one is sadly a bit out of focus which I did not realize until I posted it and can’t get another photo but you get the idea. It is a little teapot that you add a bit of tea to and then steep to perfection.
Finally a celestially adorned teapot attached to the ball makes this one perfect for brewing a heavenly pot of tea. I use this one most often it seems and I love the vivid blue teapot.
Tea infusers come in all shapes and sizes. Some of my more whimsical ones were featured in that post out here.
“Her tea basket was still lost, but that didn’t seem to matter now. People used to eat loose tea on long journeys. They’d pack it into hard little cakes they’d pull out later, to gnaw on while they warmed their hands by a fire. The tea provided physical sustenance, but it was also considered good for the soul.”
