Teapots are such a great thing to collect and if you know me well you know that I love a good thrift store teapot find. It’s been awhile since I have found one that I wanted to buy but this one found at the Hospice resale shop in town caught my eye and the price was right.
Just look at this pretty teapot. It is a sturdy one with a substantial spout that pours well.
.
It’s been used often apparently and the crazing is on the inside and the outside of the pot as well.
I actually was drawn to this teapot because of its Ohio connection. Cronin China was in business in Minerva from 1934- 1956. The company was then purchased by The United States Ceramic Tile Company and continued with the production while keeping the Cronin name on the pieces. They were makers of dinner place settings, commemorative style plates and obviously teapots. Many of their designs featured different types of floral patterns like the teapot I obtained.
I love my Ohio roots and this teapot is a nice find for an Ohio girl like me. Hope you enjoy it as well.
