Thanksgiving Blessings

7 Comments/ 426/ 0

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

Serve the LORD with gladness:
come before his presence with singing.

Know ye that the LORD he is God:
it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,
and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

For the LORD is good;
his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations.

– Psalm 100

There is so much to be thankful for this year. So many of my thankful moments center around family and friends and it is always fun to go back and look at the year in pictures to celebrate the things that made me incredibly thankful. Here are just a few things that top the list this year.

A trip to see Sean of the South with my bestie, Ann. Later in the year I went with Chris so you know I am thankful for both of those events.

.

A wonderful time in Bahamas with the family.

.

A trip to Ohio to be with my family and to witness the solar eclipse which was amazing.

.

Reading to the goats at Carl Sandburg Home National Historical Site.

.

Seeing so many beautiful sunsets from our back deck.

.

A fabulous anniversary trip to see Ruby Falls and more.

.

Another family trip to Nova Scotia this time to walk on the bottom of the ocean at the Bay of Fundy.

.

A wonderful week at our beloved Lakeside with the Brown family where we caught up and just enjoyed being together.

.

As you can see I have a great deal to be thankful for. I am thankful for you, my devoted readers, who continue to show up for my posts and encourage me with your words. What a blessing you are to me and how truly thankful I am for you.

I hope that all my readers have a wonderful holiday filled with good food, good conversations and good feelings all around. See you back here next week.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
