What makes that sound? On my phone it is the text tone I have given our youngest son when my phone is set on vibrate and it makes me smile when I hear that repeated rhythm. but the tappity tap tap sound that I am writing about today is the sound of another wonderful instrument.

Located in the back room of E. Shaver Booksellers in Savannah, Georgia sits a table with a typewriter. A Royal typewriter to be specific The typewriter sits in a little nook with a window overlooking the street and I made myself at home for a minute to follow the directions.
