The Fair Continues!

Leave a Comment/ 1021/ 0
Working at the cow wash….woo hoo…working at the cow wash, yeah!

Waiting for the show!

Taking a snooze.

What are you looking at??

A very loud sheepie!

Getting ready for the show!

My dream machine—no kidding! I want one!!!

Now that is a big John Deere!!!

Today I thought I would post some more random fair pictures for you to enjoy! I may be including a few that Chris took—we kind of are both into this lately and we share pictures so sometimes one of us takes one that is much better than the other of a particular thing or from a different view so that is kind of cool. I am still trying to figure out all the settings on my camera also which is challenging at times for me!!! I sometimes just don’t get it!!!

I think the fair was great but i think it is not as large as the Ohio State Fair. I just didn’t think that there were as many animals there and that is what I love about fairs. I also did not see any Snacking and Packing in the 4 H area but maybe they don’t do that anymore???? Since that is my one claim to fame—winning a trophy for 1st in Snacking and Packing when i was in 4Th or 5Th grade (not sure) you know that that is my passion! And what won it for me??? That little baby tootsie roll tucked in for a bit of a surprise later….. (I was such a dork…). Ah well. Enjoy the pictures!!!

Old Girls in Low Cotton
by Helen Childress
This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

The Good Girl

I loved this book! It had my interest from the very first page and was my "airplane" book on a recent trip. Author Mary Kubica created believable and interesting characters that the reader learned to identify with and care about. Mi...

All the Light We Cannot See
by Anthony Doerr
This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines
by John Green
Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
