With the holidays looming ahead I thought I would share a couple of my favorite places to shop online with you ! I don’t buy a lot for Christmas gifts—we have cut down on that over the past 10 years and do a donation to a charity more than the actual gifts but don’t get me wrong—-I still like to shop and buy a few neat things. My oldest son introduced me to Fab.com and I have gotten a lot of great things there. From home decor to cooking items to unique gifts for him and her—it is all here!!! I think you have to be “invited” so if you are interested in some unique shopping choices let me know and I will send you an invite! A new window should open up for you and you can get signed up for emails and they even have a Fab.com app that you can use on your phone to explore!!!
My youngest son introduced me to The Daily Grommet. What a neat site!!! They also send emails to let you know of new things that they are offering—usually at a discounted price to the customer. You can buy anything from food and drink to beauty products to clothing–the sky is also the limit with them! The cool thing is that they share videos that show the featured item, sometimes the creator it and give you the skinny on the thing before you click to buy!!!! The area I love on The Daily Grommet is their Good Deeds section where there are 4 sub areas: Best Sellers, Charity Organizations, Social Enterprises and Fair Trade. Under the Social Enterprises there is an awesome blanket that you can buy and have one donated to mothers in Uganda that helps them to track their baby’s height, gives valuable information about growth, immunizations, etc. How cool is that??? Definitely doing that for my great niece who is arriving in December!!!
I am also in love with Etsy. Several of my bloggy friends have shops there and there is no end to the creativity. You can find handmade and vintage items galore. I could spend literally hours checking things out on here. Men–it is a great place to find unique jewelry and gifts for that certain someone! I just recently bought a sea glass necklace with sea glass from the Lake Erie shore which made my heart happy!!!! You can even shop by color and it will automatically sort it so if you are a red kind of gal like me—-put in red for the search!!! If you happen over there check out these shops especially that my bloggy friends have. Bernie has Budugalee and Nina has Camp Honeybelle. Great shops and only a place to start. Plan on spending some time looking around!
Hope you have as much fun checking out these places as I do. They may not be new to you or they may be a totally new idea but it is well worth the checking out!! Let me know what you think!
