Three Words and a Song

8 Comments/ 2620/ 0

I have been reading a lot of New Year’s Resolutions and I have never been real good about making resolutions and keeping them.  One of the most popular approaches I have read about is to pick 3 words that are going to be your focus for the year.  I think I could handle that.  I may have to refer back to this blog post to remind myself what my 3 words are (like maybe even by next week!) but maybe it will be a good thing for me to write them down.  So here we go.

Embrace

I am going to embrace life more.  This means I am going to live in the moment, not worry so much about the future and live each day to its fullest.  It also means that I am going to embrace people more—whether it is a hug or a note of encouragement or just trying to meet and make more friends—I am going to do it.

Hope

I am going to focus on hope this year and try to convey this message to everyone I meet along my journey whether it is in person on on my blog.   Hope is a good thing, don’t you think?   There are a lot of folks out there that just need a little encouragement in this department and this is a good thing—to be a promoter of hope.   It has been a tough year for many but there is still hope.  There is always hope.

Generosity

I am going to practice generosity more.  There are many ways that I can do this—I don’t think it has to be just monetary.  I think generosity can be extended in many ways–the gift of time to someone could be a real gift.   The gift of just doing little things like letting someone in front of you in line or letting someone out in traffic is a small act of generosity.   And I am going to donate more—-whatever I can do , I am going to do it!

I also found a song that is going to be my theme for the year.  I think it is going to be a good thing to be reminded of time and time again–enjoy!!!  A remake of an old song but even better!!!
