Dearest sweet Theo,
Today you turn two and while circumstances kept your Grampa and I from being with you to celebrate, it doesn’t mean that we aren’t wishing we were there. We were so very disappointed and sad when we realized we could not come to celebrate in person with you.
If we could, we would spend so much more time with you, but we live a little bit too far to pop in every day or so but we are so happy when your Daddy and Mommy FaceTime with us so we can see how big you are getting.
Mommy told me that you can peel your own banana AND get a Kleenex, blow your nose and throw your Kleenex away in the trash can now! That is really good! We watched the video of you walking Penny the other day and that made us laugh because it looked like she might be walking you. We also saw you playing dodgeball at the gym and you threw those balls really well!
Daddy says you have “opinions” but that is just your way of growing up and being independent. Your daddy did the exact same thing when he was your age and look what a great man he turned out to be. You would do well to be like him.
Even though we can’t be with you today on your very special day we are so proud of you and so excited to see you at Christmas. You are growing every day, are getting smarter and smarter and are such a sweet boy.
I hope that your birthday cake is yummy and that you love your presents today. We are both sending all our love and hugs and kisses and can’t wait till we can see you in person.
I love you.
Gramma
