A birthday teapot found its way to my house this week and I love this new addition to my collection. My brother and sister in law gifted me this vintage teapot from the early 1960’s. They are great thrift store/flea market shoppers and I am sure that is where this one was found. I have some other similar Toby teapots but none quite like this one . I “think” it is a Ben Franklin one if I am correct.
.
This type was quite popular and they were made in Japan as the bottom of the teapot attests to.
.
This one is in really good shape and hardly looks like it has been used. A little crazing on the bottom but the wire handle and teapot itself is in perfect shape.
.
I think they did a great job of picking a great gift for me, don’ t you? I need to dig out the other ones I have and compare them. I know I have a couple that fit into this category but I think they are packed away. Another project for another day.
Hope your day is going well. This is the last day to Comment for a Cause for Pretty Place so leave me a comment and come back tomorrow for our new cause. See you then!
