Trying to be Crafty!

Leave a Comment/ 948/ 0

I spent some time in my “office” yesterday working on some cards and thought I would share a few of what I have done. Nothing fancy–haven’t pulled out the iris folding for a couple of weeks but my homemade card supply was getting woefully low so wanted to replenish a bit. I seem to have a spring theme here—wishful thinking! I am happy to report that there are warmer temperatures currently—might make it past freezing today! The snow is still everywhere and it is that nasty, dirty, gross looking snow now. Not too pleasant to look at.

I have yet to pull out my new Cricut Expressions machine ….I think I am a little intimidated at this point. Plus I had to get my crafting stuff kind of pulled together before I start into massive craft mode! I did get most of my supplies into some semblance of order so now it is easier to get to and put away and I decided that I love working in my “office” since it is sunny here and I can watch the birds out the window. The luxury of being an empty nester with a too large house—Chris and I can both have rooms of our own! Soooo…after errands today I think I might do some more –trying to get the creative juices flowing!!!

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

I loved this book! It had my interest from the very first page and was my "airplane" book on a recent trip. Author Mary Kubica created believable and interesting characters that the reader learned to identify with and care about. Mi...

All the Light We Cannot See

This is quite a book! I had it recommended to me by several people and while I thought it might be a little dark and depressing it made me have a better understanding of what life in this time period was like. The strength of the huma...

An Abundance of Katherines

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
