I know you had images in your head of people sitting in church pews in their underwear, didn’t you??? Well it is a little nippy in Iowa today to do that but our church does this fabulous thing called Undie Sunday. Every year they collect new in package undies, socks, tshirts, etc. to be taken on the mission trip to Rosebud Reservation in Mission, SD. I think it is a marvelous idea and since last year I was able to go on the mission trip for a week it meant even more to me to be able to actually see what happened to these items after they were donated. I think last year the church donated some 600 items which is fabulous.

The items are sorted and placed in packs of 3 of the same size and then available in the Warm Welcome store for the residents to take home with them. It is definitely a great need and you know how YOU feel when you get a new pair of undies—-makes the world seem better, doesn’t it??? So today I just wanted to share about Undie Sunday and maybe you can get your church or group to do something similar.
