What’s In YOUR Fridge?

9 Comments/ 596/ 0

My fridge lately has been a disaster. I have way too many condiments. One of the down sides of trying to cook different recipes is the simple fact that so often these recipes call for that one special ingredient that you will only use for that recipe. It’s weird but it appears to be true when I look in my refrigerator.

There are jars of various types of mustards, salad dressings, jellies and jams, all of the flavors of Better Than Broth that they make, hot sauces, chow chow, and pickles ad nauseam. You get the picture. My condiments are out of control.

A while ago I did a post on the 5 things that are always in my fridge and I thought it would be fun since I was bemoaning the condition of my fridge to highlight another top 5 things that are in my fridge. So here you go. (Images taken from Walmart.com)

Duke’s Mayonnaise. I am a Duke’s girl through and through and was thrilled when I saw that Aldi carries it now. Yay!

.

Sweet Chili Sauce. Ever since we lived in Australia this has become one of our favorite condiments and we use it all of the time. It is good on just about everything.

Apples. I LOVE LOVE LOVE apples and always have some in my crisper drawer. I don’t really have a favorite kind and like to try them all so you never know what you may find when you reach for an apple in my refrigerator. Variety is the spice of life, right?

Eggs. I love a good scrambled egg or fried egg sandwich. Egg salad makes an appearance quite often in my house as well so I always have at least a dozen eggs in the refrigerator for a quick meal.

Cheese. Since one of my favorite snack suppers is fixing a charcuterie board I always have multiple kinds of cheese in the cheese drawer. There are so many wonderful types and it is fun to try new kinds when I see them. A charcuterie board is the best way to highlight some new ones and I love to make a nice one filled with cheeses, meats, fruits, nuts, olives, crackers and jams. Yum. Now I am hungry.

What condition is your fridge in? Is it a disaster like mine or super organized? What are your must have items in your fridge. Inquiring minds want to. know. Leave me a comment and Comment for a Cause for Transylvania County Library Foundation.
