100 Things to Do in Iowa Before You Die–Book Review

8 Comments/ 98/ 0

I love when good things happen to good people and Sara Broers is one of those people that falls into that category. Sara and I first met in Mason City, Iowa when Chris and I lived there and when we both had blogs. We met and a friendship formed that remains today even though we are no longer geographically close. Sara is a supporter of all, encourager and lover of all things Iowa and Midwest. One of the things that I love most about Sara is her ability to help others connect with their passions. She is just really good at that and is a huge cheerleader for anyone who is looking to expand their horizons.

When I heard that she was writing a bucket list book of things to do in Iowa I knew it would be a winner. I got my copy this past week and it is chock full of great information, beautiful pictures and tips of things to do and see in the state of Iowa. Who knew, right?

Of course I loved all of the things that were Mason City and Clear Lake related and found those pages right away.

There is even a great section with color pictures in the book to help to entice visitors just a little bit more.

Maybe one of the most helpful things in the book is located at the back where Sara lists suggested itineraries and activities by season. If you are planning a trip to Iowa this is one section of the book you won’t want to miss.

Sara is a successful writer and business owner and now she has another book that will help others to discover the state that she loves to call home. I am thrilled that this book is now on my bookshelf and after doing a tally realize that I have only done 23 of the 100 things listed in the book. Perhaps I have to make a few trips back to Iowa to finish up that list of 100.

Please connect with Sara by clicking on her social media links below, follow her blog and purchase her book which is available on many online outlets including Amazon as well as in independent book stores. Tell her I sent you and she will give you a warm Iowa welcome. Congratulations, Sara! I am so proud to call you friend.

What a fun book! I love learning things about places from locals. I always feel like they know the hidden gems that are not just for tourists. And when I go somewhere I want to be immersed as much as I can.

Congratulations, Sara! This looks like a great Iowa travel guide. As close as I live to Iowa, I’ve only explored a small part of my neighboring state. Perhaps it’s time to see more.
