Bloggy Love

15 Comments/ 3075/ 0

When I started this blog I didn’t really know what I was getting into. I really didn’t. I underestimated how much it would come to mean to me and how much I look forward to posting and more importantly how much I love comments!!! I found myself looking at my “stats” trying to figure out how many more followers I had and how many new friends I have made. It kind of took on a life of its own. Several weeks ago I got my first blog award and was thrilled that Bernie at One Mixed Bag had singled me out!!!  Bernie always makes me laugh–she has a fun blog and sometimes she talks Mr. Bernie into blogging for her!!!

Well, imagine my surprise when yet another bloggy friend, Diane at Simply Diane bestowed 2 awards to me!!!   Diane is a wonderful friend who has such a fabulous blog.  You will definitely want to check it out if you have not already become acquainted with her.  She has a huge heart and it shows!

It has taken me awhile to get the move on here and do what is needed to be done as the recipient of said awards! I wanted to make sure I spent quality time deciding exactly what to write and how to write it, who to pass the awards on to and just wanted to get it right. Well, I am going to take my time, hence why this is so late! I have been having issues posting links here and I am trying to get it just right so that my blog does these folks justice but if the links don’t work PLEASE take the time to look them up!!! I am writing it and refining it and making sure that I do the awards justice! So here you go!!!

The rules in accepting these awards are as follows:

VERSATILE BLOGGER                                    INCREDIBLY SWEET BLOGGER

Link to person who gave you award              Link to person who gave you award

List 7 random facts about yourself                  Display Award

Pass award on to 15 new bloggers                   List 5 truth about yourself

Let bloggers know they won                              Pass award on to 5 bloggers

I am going to take some liberties and not follow the “rules” to the T here because I just can’t do that today!!! But what I will do is tell you 5 things about myself that you may not know and pass the awards along to 3 others who I think are great at this whole blogging thing!!! I have found so many great blogs out there and it is hard to single just 3 out but I will try!!!

First off—5 things about me!!!
1. I have lived in 18 different towns in my lifetime—some twice!
2. I wore my mother in law’s wedding dress at our wedding almost 29 years ago.
3. I met my husband at a Bible Study in Park Hall at Ohio Northern University and in today’s standards stalked him…..shamelessly, though I deny that to him every chance I get.
4. I find it easier to give than to receive.
5. My most memorable airplane ride was when I flew with my brother, Mark, in a 4 seater while he did pronghorn surveys in Yuma, Arizona. It was Easter Sunday and spectacular even though I had to use the barf bag many times during the 4 hour flight when we made circles trying to find the pronghorn. It truly was one of the most wonderful times of my life.

Now to pass these awards on!!! The fun part!!!

First of all I just want to say that I have found so many great blogs and people out there!!!!   It is amazing!!!  This blogging thing could really turn into a full time job!  Ask my husband!  I am either blogging, doing research for the blog or playing Words With Friends on my phone these days…Sad but true.  But on with the awards!!!  I am going to bestow both the awards to each of the following recipients!!!

My first recipient is Leslee at Waiting for the Click.   Leslee has such a sweet spirit about her and her post today exemplifies that as she is asking for help for a friend with a serious health condition.  I, for one, have discovered how vast the internet is when it comes to asking for help, for prayers and support during tough times.   I told Leslee that I have witnessed miracles due to the internet.  When it is all said and done it can work for good!  Leslee’s blog is about self-discovery and the journey that we are on in this world.  She is a great writer and truly a compassionate woman.

My second set of awards goes to Hilary at Feeling Beachie.  She is awesome!!!  And she loves the beach!  Another thing we have in common is cats.  Now I am not saying that either of us are crazy cat ladies (though we have a North Tower and a South Tower for our cats my husband just informed me this morning which might put me over the edge on that one) but she posts pictures of her cat, too! Hilary has a great, fun writing style and has a Follow Friday Four Fill In blog hop which is a lot of fun to follow and to join.   Check her blog out and you will be glad you did!

Finally I would be negligent if I did not pass the bloggy love onto my new friend Jack at Poems and Ponderings.  Now I am not sure how Jack is going to respond to being the recipient of the Incredibly Sweet Blogger award but maybe he can bestow it on his wife (also named Beth Ann)!   Jack has offered up some wonderful examples of his writing in the last couple of week since I have found him and I am so excited to be able to share him with you if you have not met up with him in the blogosphere yet.   Well worth the trip over there!

So there you go!  A really long post and now I have to alert the winners that they are, indeed, winners!!!!   Check em out !!!
