Christmas at The Biltmore

7 Comments/ 2037/ 1

Visiting The Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina is special anytime of the year but it is especially magical during Christmas.  The lights, the trees, the carolers all make the experience even better and with just a little bit of crispness in the air it makes the experience even more authentic.biltmore1

Chris and I spend a wonderful weekend there for his birthday and we celebrated the season a bit by taking the Candlelight Tour.  I had wanted to do this last year but waited too long to get tickets so this year I booked early.  biltmore8

I hope you enjoy the pictures and the tour of the beautiful house and estate.  Merry Christmas!  biltmore3

“Opulence” is the word that first popped into my head! I can’t even imagine such a place as a “home” (which is why the Lord has not placed us in those circumstances!!!). Such grandness, although beautiful, is a tad intimidating to me. Thanks for the share and am glad you were able to secure tickets this time around!!!!!

That is a good word and it is pretty accurate. I think it is pretty amazing how the estate has been preserved and how they are building more and more experiences for folks to enjoy while hey are there. I can’t imagine living here but I am so glad they share the beauty with the rest of us.

Haha! It is beautiful there and while I don’t want to live that way it is fun to imagine what it would be like. Thanks for stopping by!

Old Girls in Low Cotton
