Clearly Wonderful on Teapot Tuesday

10 Comments/ 724/ 0

Hooray! A new teapot is debuting today on It’s Just Life. Today’s teapot is one I bought online from one of my new favorite television shows – The Lost Kitchen. Erin French and her Freedom, Maine restaurant has captivated me and if you have not heard of her, you might want to check her out on HBO Max. Her show is a fun look at her small but thriving restaurant in the small town of Freedom, Maine, where she uses and highlights many local providers of meats, cheeses, vegetables and fruits. As I watch each show I am amazed at how smoothly her team works together and how they managed to make it through COVID successfully.

The restaurant itself is by reservation only and seats less than 50 people. In previous years the way to get a reservation is to send a postcard in that gets put in a huge selection process. It is amazing how this small little place has become “THE” place to visit and you can bet when the information about reservations for 2023 is announced on March 20th, I will be tuning in and most likely sending in my own postcard.

But I digress. Among her lovely table settings, nibble boards and home goods I have admired her lovely glass teapots that she uses to infuse teas of all kinds. Her most memorable ones on the show are ones with chamomile flowers that she grows in her gardens and steeps in the lovely small teapots for guests. When I found out I could buy one on her website I had to place an order and I am happily drinking a couple cups of teas from it as I type this.

I love this teapot already. It has a unique lid with a strainer that keeps the tea leaves in the pot and out of my cup when I pour it.

.

The tea looks so nice in the pot even before the water is poured into it.

I love seeing the tea leaves unfurl as they steep.

The tea pours out so nicely and evenly from the spout and the built in sieve filters out all of the leaves so there is no need for a tea ball or infuser of any time. Perfect pot and I think it is now my favorite brewing pot for one.
